Advocate Diversity
Muhammad Ibrahim Khan is a passionate advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a proven record of advancing these ideals in both academic and professional spheres. As a pioneer member of the Amsterdam Law School Diversity Commission, he represented all Master’s students and played a pivotal role in strengthening institutional policies on diversity and inclusion. His appointment, formalized in the Dean’s memorandum on 17 January 2019, reflects his dedication to fostering equitable environments.
During his tenure from January to July 2019, Muhammad Ibrahim actively participated in 13 commission sessions, dedicating over 50 hours to advancing diversity-related initiatives. His efforts included advocating for marginalized groups, bridging communication gaps among stakeholders, and drafting actionable recommendations to promote inclusivity within the faculty.
One of his most notable contributions was delivering a thought-provoking address as a Speaker at the “Diversity in the City” Event, where he emphasized the significance of cross-cultural engagement and institutional accountability. Additionally, he successfully advised the establishment of a contemplation room at the Amsterdam Law School to respect diverse faiths and backgrounds, fostering inclusivily.
