Resident’s Committee Amsterdam Science Park, President

During my stay in Amsterdam, noticing the lack of a resident’s committee in my student housing complex to voice tenants’ concerns and grievances, I took the sole initiative of creating one as a bridge connecting the tenants, the housing association, and the tenant’s association. Today, the committee has more than a dozen members and is involved in organizing various events.

US Ambassador’s Youth Council, Advisor

• The Council directly advises Embassy officials on issues important to Pakistani youth, conducts projects, and meets with think tanks and policymakers.
• Moderated a meeting with the US Ambassador regarding topics such as social media usage issues in Pakistan, opportunities for youth, and climate change at the US Embassy, Islamabad.
• Led a social project by convening a consultation session at the US Embassy on the problems of the transgender community in Pakistan with the leading NGOs.

Youth Parliament Pakistan, PILDAT

• Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency runs the first-of-its-kind YPP to inculcate the culture and values of democracy in youth and to prepare them for future leadership roles. Sixty parliamentarians are selected from all over Pakistan through a multi-stage selection process to get training from experts and draft reports.
• Prepared and presented a report on electoral reforms to curb rigging and lapses in the Pakistani electoral system.
• Raised awareness on the status of religious minorities; a report was published and presented on both print and electronic media.
