  • Provided legal advice to the Embassy of Sudan on various domestic issues and matters related to consular affairs.

Research Assistant Amsterdam Law Clinic Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  • Conducted a research project on behalf of the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO) and Western Sahara Resource Watch (WSRH) regarding the liability of corporate companies indirectly violating human rights obligations.
  • Investigated the legal implications of the salt imported from Western Sahara to the Netherlands by a Dutch company from the disputed Western Sahara territory, misleadingly labeled as Moroccan, which would provide an ample basis to begin legal proceedings against the company; and if so, whether to proceed by filing a criminal complaint or a human rights complaint against this company domestically, by filing a tort claim against the company, by using the preliminary reference procedure in an attempt to bring the case before the European Court of Justice, or by filing a complaint to the Dutch National Contact Point.
